Hello everybody!
I’m Dania Villegas, I live in Guapiles and I’m a former teacher with 15 years of experience. In this moment I’m also a new student in an interesting training. I’m taking the course “Integration Skills with Emphasis on Grammar.” This training is once a week at Universidad Latina. Students have also on line tasks. I feel great because I love to update my knowledge and this course gives me the opportunity to review topics in a different lens. After years of teaching, I realize we need to be prepared for the different challenges we constantly face.
The course is very demanding, I have to organize myself because I have work at home with my three children. I also work at two different high schools. In addition, I share room with excellent classmates, so I have to prepare myself in advance before going to classes. I want to achieve a professional growth with this course, which is a reason why I try to study at least twice a week to be sure I’m in the same linguistic level as my classmates. Moreover, I believe the professor is very accessible, helpful and knowledgeable about the topics we review. The teacher is usually encouraging the students to use technology and providing students with effective tools.
On the other hand, my family means a lot to me. I am always planning myself to spend time with my husband and kids. I realize teachers and students need to have free-time activities to be productive. Time management is the clue for success. This type of training course helps you to know that you can be productive when you organize yourself and when you want to improve your skills.
